Go Hotels, the budget hotel chain of
Robinsons Land Corp., will open three new branches that will boost its total
number of rooms to over 1,200 by end of 2014, a company executive said
Thursday.
Go Hotels general manager Elizabeth
Gregorio said in a statement the 198-room Go Hotels Ortigas would open before
the end of the year while Go Hotels Butuan, with 102 rooms, would be launched
next year.
Go Hotels Iloilo will also open in the
first quarter of 2014 with 167 rooms, making it the chain’s biggest branch
outside Metro Manila. The Iloilo branch will also have the biggest conference
room among all Go Hotels branches.
The opening of the new branches will
bring the total number of rooms of the Go Hotels chain to over 1,200, from the
current 700 rooms in the six existing branches that include Edsa-Mandaluyong,
Tacloban, Dumaguete, Bacolod, Puerto Princesa and Otis-Manila.
“These are exciting times for the
Philippine tourism as the hospitality business open more outlets, especially in
Metro Manila, in anticipation of the arrival of more tourists because of the
government’s focus on the industry,” Gregorio said.
Gregorio said Go Hotels’ expansion was
carefully carried out with the needs of the traveler as its top priority.
Go Hotels Iloilo and Butuan are
located within Robinsons malls while the Ortigas branch is just a stone’s throw
away from Robinsons Galleria.
“Go Hotels Ortigas Center will serve
the growing number of business travelers and tourists visiting the central
business district and the malls in the area,” said Gregorio.
