Triple A builder/developer DMCI Homes is set to raise the bar of condominium living in Manila with the soon-to-be-completed Illumina Residences Manila in Sta. Mesa, a 32-storey, single-structure community. Through the building’s sophisticated design imbibed from the driveway to the condo units, DMCI Homes offers a five-star lifestyle for people planning to call Manila their permanent address.
A cosmopolitan feel is evident from the driveway, which showcases a view of the lobby, the lounge area and the function rooms. The featured spaces were designed to mirror the posh atmosphere of living in Illumina Residences Manila.
Designed by interior experts Gruppo Espazio, the look of the condo’s ground level brings to mind the welcome of classy hotels. Greeting guests at the driveway is a beautiful and modern fountain area with glass installation art. The entrance opens to a lobby designed with a luxurious, continental charm.
Gruppo Espazio conceptualized the space with a mixture of textures evident in the ceiling, the walls, and the floor, and extended with the choice of furnishing and furniture. Livening up the areas are earth-tone colors accented with bright hues on the walls that create that distinct feel of international flair – think French boutique hotels, or charming country villas.
The play of textures adds depth and character to both the lobby and the lounge area. A beautiful mixture of wood accents stretch from floor to ceiling, creating a path that leads to different spaces of the ground level. The area is also given a modern touch with metal accents via decorative lights, wall decors and table centerpieces. The function rooms are designed with neutral colors to maintain the sophisticated atmosphere, and furnished for a variety of activities in mind.
The high-end ambience does not stop at the ground floor. The units are designed for residents to enjoy privacy and exclusivity via its unique T-shape architecture. The special ground layout allows for the unique experience of single-corridors – residents open their doors not to a narrow hallway, but to a view of a landscaped atrium situated at certain floors of the building, creating the aura of space.
The same layout also provides a 360-degree view of the metropolis, assuring that each unit will have a vantage of the city which residents can enjoy on their balcony. This architecture also allow for more natural light to flow in every home, whether in a studio (24 sqm), two-bedroom (48 sqm), two-bedroom mid unit (55 sqm), and three-bedroom end unit (66 sqm).
Units are turned-over in ready to receive finish with provisions for a more flexible design layout.
Staying true to its theme of luxury living, the project’s lifestyle amenities offer a wide range of choices for activities one usually have access when staying in resorts and hotels.
The amenities are geared towards group or family-oriented activities such as a lanai, a lap pool, a deck garden, and a sky lounge which offers a view of downtown Manila, and can also double as a space for special gatherings. A study hall and fitness gym are available for more personal pursuits.
For added convenience, there will be three high-speed elevators, a CCTV camera for added security, provisions for CATV and phone lines, as well as access to WiFi connection in the amenities area.
This project is targeted to finish four months earlier and will be turned over in April of 2011. More information is at www.dmcihomes.com.
