The Subdivision and Housing Developers
Association (SHDA), in partnership with key housing agencies that include the
Housing and Urban Development Coordinating Council, Home Development Mutual
Fund, Housing and Land Use Regulatory Board and National Home Mortgage Finance
Corp. (NHMFC), will be holding the 2012 National Housing Convention in Davao
City on September 27 to 28.
The event will also see a presentation
of the analysis of data that led to the formulation of the roadmap, SHDA said
in a statement.
The association also said that this
year’s convention will include discussions pertaining to the roadmap’s impact
on the industry as it assists developers in crafting their strategies in
cooperation with all the concerned government agencies and private partner
institutions.
The symposium continues the success of
last year’s convention, which saw government agencies forging partnerships and
committing cooperation to streamline the issuance of licenses and permits,
addressing bottlenecks in processing housing delivery and revising implementing
rules for areas such as socialized housing compliance.
Set to provide additional insights are
other departments that include the Bureau of Investments, Department of
Environment and Natural Resources, Department of the Interior and Local
Government, Home Guaranty Corp., and Land Registration Authority, as well as
private partner associations such as the Bankers’ Association of the
Philippines.
