Bloomberry Resorts Corp. on Thursday
unveiled the expansion plan for Solaire Resorts and Casino in ParaƱaque City,
with the construction of three new hotels and addition of retail space and
gaming tables, which will make it one of the largest resorts in the world.

said in an interview following the annual stockholders’ meeting of the company
the second phase of Solaire would be bigger in terms of size and capital
spending, compared to the existing development.
Phase 2 of the project involves the
construction of 1,500 guest rooms under three hotel brands, an event area
capable for accommodating 15,000 people, a convention area spanning 100,000
square meters, a retail space, 35 new food and beverage outlets, gaming tables
and electronic machines.
Bloomberry said by the end of phase 2,
Solaire would have a total of 650 gaming tables and 3,000 electronic gaming
machines.
“Once the expansion has been
completed, Solaire will rank among the largest and most comprehensive integrated
resorts in the world,” Bloomberry president and chief operating officer Thomas
Arasi said.
Bloomberry is set to open phase 1a of
the project in the fourth quarter, which involves construction of
additional 312 all-suite hotel rooms as
well as a shopping center with 30 to 40 high-end brand shops, more food and
beverage offerings, a 1,700-seat entertainment theater, 3,000 parking slots, a
night club and restaurants.
