CAMELLA, the flagship brand of listed
homebuilder Vista Land & Lifescapes, Inc., will launch at least P12 billion
worth of house and lot units within Metro Manila and the city’s outskirts this
year, the company’s chairman said.
On Friday, Vista Land simultaneously
launched five projects worth a combined P5.6 billion: Camella Verra Metro North
in Valenzuela City; Camella Carson and Camella Alta Silang both in Cavite;
Camella Belize in DasmariƱas, Cavite; and Camella Sierra Metro East in
Antipolo, Rizal province.
“In another three months, we will be
launching another five -- more or less the same size -- so we’re looking at
launching [a total of] around P12 billion to P14 billion just for the Camella
South division alone,” Vista Land Chairman Manuel B. Villar told reporters on
Friday night on the sidelines of the launching ceremony at the Philippine
International Convention Center in Pasay City.
The new projects will be located in
Caloocan and within the provinces of Cavite, Laguna, and Rizal, he said.
“House and lot units are our core
product. We’re very bullish for the year that’s why we’re launching another
list of projects -- those launched last year were immediately sold out,” Mr.
Villar, a former senator, said.
Camella offers house and lot units
with an average price of P2 million each. It is present in 34 provinces and 76
cities. Last year, the group launched 44 projects with a total value of around
P27 billion. -- Daphne J. Magturo
