BOI OKs housing, IT products

The Board of Investments (BOI) has approved two information technology (IT) and three housing projects worth P608 million.

Filipino-owned Communities Leyte Inc. is investing P344.48 million for a Camella Leyte, a low-cost housing composed of 322 units in Barangay Campetic, Palo, Leyte. This is the company’s first project to get incentives from the BOI.

Household Development Corp., a subsidiary of Camella Homes Inc., is putting in P197.3 million for two housing projects in Pasig – Sonrisa Subdivision composed of 58 units and Abraza Subdivision, 132 units.

These represent the 14th and 15th mass housing projects of the company.

Magellan Solutions Outsourcing Inc., formerly Magellan Solutions Holdings, is putting up a P40-million 80-seat call center in Ortigas to provide information research and support services to US-based clients in diverse activities such as health and nutrition, sports equipment and gear, mortgage banking and financial services, telecommunication service providers, travel and leisure, media industries and similar industries.

Scopeworks Asia Inc., meanwhile, is expanding its data transcription business at its existing facility in Makati City for P26.3 million.

Scopeworks is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Paxys Inc., a holding company listed with the Philippine Stock Exchange.-Irma Isip
