ALLIANCE GLOBAL Group, Inc. expects to ink a partnership deal with the Hilton Worldwide group before the year ends to put up a hotel in Pasay City, a spokesperson said on Friday.
"We are looking to bring in a Hilton hotel to Resorts World," Archie Nicasio, public relations and marketing manager for Alliance Global’s unit Travellers International Hotel Group, Inc. said in a telephone interview, referring to the entertainment complex across the Ninoy Aquino International Airport -- Terminal 3.
"There will be a contract-signing ceremony soon, possibly within the next two weeks," Mr. Nicasio added.
Hilton Hotels & Resorts, a leading international brand, has more than 540 hotels and resorts in 78 countries worldwide, according to its Web site. Its officials could not be immediately reached to confirm the development.
The addition of a Hilton hotel in the eight-hectare Resorts World Manila in Pasay City will enable Travellers International to attract a broader market to include business travelers and their families, Mr. Nicasio added.
"After all, the intention of Resorts World Manila to cater to as many markets as possible," Mr. Nicasio said.
The Hilton hotel, the fifth within Resorts World Manila, is part of the company’s planned four-hotel expansion in the next five years.
Two hotels are also being planned but have yet to be named, Mr. Nicasio said.
Shares of Alliance Global surged by 3.42% to P10.28 on Friday from P9.94 at its previous close. -- FJGDLF
