Ortigas allots P3B for Greenhills tower

MANILA, Philippines - Premiere property developer Ortigas & Co. plans to spend P3 billion for the development of a new residential project in Greenhills dubbed Viridian.

Viridian at Greenhills is a 53-storey tower to be built at the Northeast sector of Greenhills Shopping Center (Connecticut cor. Missouri Streets) and will be completed in 2016. It will have 49 residential floors with studio, one-, two-, and three-bedroom units, two retail floors, one amenities floor, and five levels of basement parking. It is the first premium residential tower to rise in Greenhills.

According to Feng Shui, Viridian is located at the “Belly of the Dragon” or what the Chinese consider a seat of prosperity. It promises to give residents a magnificent view of the Sierra Madre mountain range, the Wack-Wack golf course, and the Ortigas skyline.

The tower will have swimming pools and cabanas, sky gardens, a function room, a fitness center, as well as secure and convenient basement parking. A unit’s floor area can range from 38 square meters (studio unit) to 207 square meters (three-bedroom unit). Each unit will have an open combined living, dining, and entertaining area, spacious yet energy saving high ceiling, built-in bedroom closets, cabinetry, and expansive views that bring in natural light.

“We designed Viridian as a premiere residential address in San Juan. It is welcoming, nurturing, and it has everything you need. We want future residents to feel like they are going home to a five star hotel with Viridian’s superb amenities and great service,” says Joey Santos, general manager of the Real Estate Division, Ortigas & Co.

Price starts at P6 million, going up to P30 million, inclusive of a parking space for every unit.

Santos said Viridian is part of the Greenhills Shopping Center’s P25-billion redevelopment plan, which aims to make Greenhills a complete live, work, and play environment.

“At its core, the redevelopment plan calls for bringing back the “community gathering place” feel that has always been associated with Greenhills and soon this experience will be personalized for those few that will invest in the future of Greenhills and call Viridian home,” adds Santos.

Additionally, the plan calls for doubling the shopping space that will amplify the “tiangge” shopping style area, while allowing for a wider array of well-known fashion and lifestyle brands. This enhancement will be supported by improvements in the entertainment corridor, which will include additional dining options, as well as three state-of-the-art cinemas that will showcase the latest in digital technology.
