BACOLOD CITY — Ayala Land, Inc. is expanding its business in Negros Occidental with the development of its third residential project in Talisay, the Verdana Homes Asyana.
Ayala Land Visayas-Mindanao officials led by Vice-President Francis Monera and Talisay Mayor Eric Saratan attended the project’s groundbreaking rites on Friday. Mr. Monera said the 20.5-hectare Asyana, which will be formally launched on Aug. 15, will follow the style of Plantazionne Verdana Homes, Ayala Land’s initial mid-market residential subdivision in the province launched in 2002.
Ayala North Point, unveiled in 1997 for the high-end Negrense market, was the company’s first project in Negros Occidental.
Situated adjacent to Ayala North Point and Plantazionne, about seven kilometers north of Bacolod, the Verdana Homes Asyana is a four-phase resort-like community with a modern Asian theme.
It will have a 7,000-square-meter clubhouse and a park featuring the four elements of nature — water, wind, earth and wood, as well as a 50-meter pool.
Phase I, which has a gross developable area of about 4.39 hectares, has 114 lots in a 2.6-hectare area. Each lot has an average size of 223.49 square meters.
Therese Borromeo, Ayala Land Negros branch manager, said the Phase I lots cost P4,988 to P6,088 per square meter. Spot cash buyers, meanwhile, can get a 10% discount while deferred payments will be given a 5% discount, she said. — Nanette L. Guadalquiver
