Realty executive: One Roxas Suites transactions are all above board

[ manilastandardtoday.com ] July 25-26, 2009 ]

A RANKING official of a realty firm yesterday denied reports any charge of syndicated estafa before the Parañaque City Prosecutor’s Office over the alleged anomalous sale of condominium units in 2008 and 2009.

In a statement, Ma. Rosario Tajonera, executive vice president of Goldwynn Realty and Development Corp. said Parañaque State Prosecutor Juan Balao had dismissed on June 20 for lack of basis the complaint filed against her, and the other officers and agents namely Eduardo Tajonera Jr., Mary Anne Berba, Bernardita Reyes, Marianne Isabelle Tajonera, Marianne Margaret Noelle Barandian, Marianne Angelica Tajonera, Rolando Villaluz and Theresa Genuino.

According to Tajonera, Balao has noted in his three-page Resolution that the entrapment by agents of the National Bureau of Investigation over the sale of “One Roxas Suites,” does not constitute syndicated estafa becase “no damage or prejudice was caused to complainants Wilson Sy, Nestor Ong, Clarita Ng and Joaquin Co.”

Tajonera also indicated that Sy did not appear to subscribe his supposed affidavit during the inquest proceedings.

“The prosecutor opined that the complaint of Nestor Ong, Clarita Ng and Joaquin Co, which arose from their dealing with Eduarosa Realty and Development Corp. happened way back in the late ’80s up to the early ’90s, are not proper for inquest proceeding,” Tajonera told Standard Today.

She said the issues of the complaints have already been decided with finality by the Housing and Land Use Regulatory Board as early as 1989.

Tajonera said the complainants have not yet fully paid the units which are registered in the name of Eduarosa Realty and Development Corp., the predecessor of Goldwynn.

“Thus, they cannot properly claim ownership of said units,” she added, underscoring full compliance By One Roxas Suites with HLURB requirements.

A transmittal copy obtained by Standard Today from the NBI-Anti Fraud and Computer Crimes Division, dated July 17, showed that Tajonera was among those subjected for inquest proceedings at the Inquest Prosecutor of the Office of the Parañaque City Prosecutor. Macon Ramos Araneta
