MANILA, Philippines - The Bases and
Conversion Development Authority (BCDA) will bid out a 1,000- square meter
(sqm) property in Taguig City in the third quarter on top of three other
properties up for auction also this year.
“The bidding for the 1,000 sqm in BGC
(Bonifacio Global City) will probably be in the third quarter,” Aileen
Anunciacion Zosa, BCDA executive vice president told reporters yesterday.
The property, she said, is located
beside the Everest Academy in BGC.
The property would have to be used for
institutional purposes like a school, hospital or other government offices.
The use of the land to be auctioned
off, Zosa said, is based on the land use plan of the host local government
unit.
The BCDA has yet to finalize the
valuation of the said property.
Zosa said that apart from the 1,000
sqm property beside Everest Academy, the BCDA is set to auction off three other
small properties this year.
In a notice posted on its website
earlier this week, the BCDA said that it is looking for interested proponents
for the privatization and development of three properties.
The BCDA wants to auction off the
5,005 sqm driving range lot as well as the 5,389 sqm Nichols Loop in Pasay City
which is valued at P89.59 million.
The Nichols property could be utilized
for institutional use.
The BCDA is likewise looking for
interested bidders for the 3,099 sqm Eastgate parking facility in BGC.
The Eastgate parking property which
can be utilized as an institutional area is valued at P122.41 million.
Another property up for auction is the
1,224 sqm Sampaguita East Ramp lot in Fort Bonifacio priced at P28.76 million.
The Sampaguita property, the BCDA
said, could be used for residential, commercial and institutional purposes.
Arnel Paciano Casanova, president and
chief executive officer of BCDA told reporters yesterday that the
government-owned corporation also has plans of bidding out bigger properties in
BGC referred to as crown jewels, this year, after its gets the green light of the
Office of the President.
“We expect approximately more than P12
billion from these properties,” he said.
