The Authority
of the Freeport in Bataan is considering a proposal from LKY Development Corp.
to lease, redevelop, operate and manage existing tourism facilities within the
free port area of the province for the next 25 years.
LKY committed
to put up an initial investment of P300 million for the redevelopment of about
4.9 hectares of tourism facilities within the Freeport.
The
redevelopment will include the restoration and refurbishment of the 4-story
Hilltop Hotel, golf course, shopping center, auditorium and other amenities.
The free port
agency has invited interested parties to submit competitive proposals to ensure the best offer.
Prospective
participants must have a track record in the development, operations and
management of at least a three-star hotel facility with at least 100 rooms for
a minimum of one year.
LKY will be
given the right to match the most competitive offer during the selection
process.
The agency
will hold a pre-bidding conference on June 24 at the AIM Conference Center in
Manila. It added it had the right to accept or reject any bid prior to the
contract award.
