Bayan Business, the corporate solutions arm of Bayan Telecommunications Inc. (Bayantel), is extending its service offerings to the property sector industry in a pioneering effort.
“The pilot number, 02 Camella, will connect their head office to all their remote sites located nationwide, giving their customers the convenience of a single and easy to remember access number that they may call for any queries, assistance or information that they might need about the company’s products and services,” said Manuel Paolo Villar, president and chief executive officer of Vista Land and Lifescapes.
In partnership with one of the Philippines’ top property developers, Bayan Business will be deploying the contact center solution hotline, 02 Camella (2263552) for the Vista Land Group of Companies via the phonewords system.
Phonewords are easier to remember than numeric phone numbers, so when businesses use them as a direct response tool in their advertising (radio, television, print, outdoor, etc.) these have proven to be very effective in terms of easy recall and response rates.
The 02 Camella project is an innovation that paves the way for a single contact number for the customer service needs of Vista Land clients, regardless of which contact center is taking the call.
Such a system is common in the fast moving consumer goods and food retail industry, but unprecedented in the real estate industry.

The Bayantel chief operating officer (COO), Rafael Aguado, said that the company is proud to be partnering with the country’s largest homebuilder, in its effort to put customer focus as a top priority via a unified communication system.
According to a property market report by Colliers International Philippines Inc. released in March 2012, Vista Land is the largest homebuilder in the country.
The report said that based on a market scan of various vertical and horizontal residential projects in the Philippines developed by 14 major players in the real-estate industry, Vista Land has captured 22 percent of the over 80,000 units of reservation sales in 2011, with the middle-income as its primary market.
Internet protocol system
One benefit of the 02 Camella project is that the intra company Internet protocol (IP)-based system is expected to significantly drive down operational costs for long distance calls and improve overall efficiency and processing of customer inquiries.
The system will be supported by structured cabling across Vista Land offices. Advanced data and voice infrastructure will enable Vista Land’s network to handle voice over an IP PBX system or a business telephone based system that will link and deliver data to more than 60 sites nationwide.
Initial phase of the deployment in the Vista Land headquarters in Mandaluyong City and throughout its other offices in Metro Manila, including key provincial offices, was completed during the last quarter of 2012.
The system is now up and running and currently Vista Land is completing the final phase of the deployment in all of its provincial offices across the country.
The unified system will be rolled out to every new site, thus linking current and future Vista Land offices in an integrated telephony system. Vista Land is the holding company of five business units—Brittany, Crown Asia, Camella, Communities Philippines and Vista Residences. With the widest geographic reach among all property developers in the Philippines, the company continues to solidify the status of Camella as a truly national brand.
It is the market leader by far in terms of total number of houses built, having constructed more than 250,000 homes in 31 provinces, and 63 cities and municipalities in Luzon, the Visayas and Mindanao, and is recognized for its themed and master planned communities that offer quality housing across all market segments.
“A project of this scale has never been done before in the real-estate industry, and with the help of our telecom service partner Bayan and technology partner Alcatel Lucent and solutions provider Logic Solutions, we are confident that we will be able to deliver the promise of the vision of this innovation in the real estate industry that will bring Vista Land closer to its customers,” Villar said.
