Futura Homes,
the affordable housing brand of listed developer Filinvest Land Inc. (FLI), is
set to establish housing communities in Pasig, Valenzuela, Palawan and Davao
this year.
In an
interview with reporters, FLI First Vice President Reynaldo Ascaño said that
the company is set to launch more projects under the Futura Homes brand within
this year.
Ascaño cited
that Pasig, Valenzuela, Palawan and Davao are the new areas for Futura Homes,
the value homes brand of FLI that sells units for as low as P600,000 to P2
million.
FLI is also
on the lookout for areas in the Visayas and Mindanao for the expansion of
Futura Homes, he added.
Within this
year, the company launched two community projects under the Futura Homes brand
located in Cavite, Batangas and San Pedro, Laguna.
Ascaño
specified that for each community, the company invests “less than a billion,”
or approximately P700 million to P800 million.
Currently,
the company has built a combined 16,000 units for 20 projects under the Futura
Homes brand.
Earlier this
year, FLI said that it will be launching six new mid-rise building projects
nationwide this year. These projects, according to the developer, have an
estimated sales value of P11 billion.
The six
mid-rise developments the company intends to work on this year is only part of
the total P20-billion worth of new projects FLI will launch this year.
