Leisure & Resorts World Corp. said
Monday it is strengthening the casino operation of the 240-room Midas Hotel and
Casino by tapping the foreign gaming market.
Leisure & Resorts said in a
disclosure to the stock exchange wholly-owned unit Prime Investment Korea Inc.
and state-owned Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp. signed a supplemental
junket agreement to offer supplementary services to enhance gaming at Midas
Hotel.
“The supplementary services will allow
Pagcor and PIKI to tap into foreign gaming markets in order to attract foreign
tourist arrivals in the Philippines,” LRWC said.
The supplementary services include
operating gaming tables equipped with high-definition video cameras, VOIP
facilities and Internet data facilities.
The agreement provides that PIKI will
be allowed to broadcast Pagcor-approved table gaming activities from within the
gaming rooms to locations outside the Casino Filipino-Midas.
The agreement is effective for a
period of three years and renewable at the option of Pagcor.
