Tacloban City (July 5) -- A Grand Launching of the titling activities at the Municipalities of Hindang, Hilongos and Matalom will be conducted at the municipality of Hilongos on July 15, LAMP/Penro Manager Hernani M. delos Reyes Jr., informed.
The Grand Launching will be spearheaded by Land Administration and Management Project Phase 2- Provincial Project Implementation Office 1-Leyte, in coordination with the local government units of Hindang, Matalom and Hilongos, in order to facilitate and maximize the information awareness campaign about the project.
PENRO delos Reyes said that the Land Administration and Management Project Phase 2, is a project of the government of the Philippines with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources as the lead agency.
He said that the titling activities have already started in the three municipalities, thus one of the highlights of the Grand Launching is the distribution of land titles which will be facilitated by the Provincial Register of Deeds Office.
Another highlight, PENRO delos Reyes said, is the press conference which will be conducted in the afternoon of July 25.
The activity will start at 7:00 o'clock with a motorcade which will start at the Hindang Formation Center, proceeding to Hilongos and Matalom and then back to Hilongos.
Mayor Panfilo Go of Hilongos will welcome the participants and visitors while Forester Hernani M. Delos Reyes Jr., LAMP project manager will deliver the Opening Remarks.
DENR Executive Director Alfredo Pascual and Congresswoman Carmen Cari of the 5th District of Leyte will deliver their respective inspirational messages during the launching.
Meanwhile, Mayor Elpidio B. Cabal, Jr. of Hindang and Mayor Eric Pajullo of Matalom will articulate their respective LGUs' commitment to the project.
The distribution of land titles to the landowners in the three municipalities will be done by Atty. Emeterio D. Villanoza, Jr., LAMP OSS Manager. (PIA 8)
