Parañaque City’s business executives have nominated the locality in the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s (PCCI) search for the Most Business Friendly City in the country.
Local businessmen made the move in recognition of Mayor Florencio Bernabe Jr.’s achievements which resulted to great strides in improving business climate including the full computerization of the business permits and license office and the City Treasurer’s Office.
Members of the Parañaque Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PqCCI) hailed the full computerization of revenue-generating departments which has resulted in faster service, easy access and updating of records, and the elimination of fixers in processing business permits.
Other business-friendly initiatives of Parañaque include the construction and operation of the air-conditioned taxpayer’s lounge, computerization of the Real Property Tax Office and Assessor’s Office, a citywide streetlighting program, and the implementation of the Waste Segregation Act.
Bernabe said he is happy that the PqCCI recognizes the city’s efforts to improve its business climate and encourage commerce.
