CAGAYAN DE ORO — The P8-billion Laguindingan International airport project should be halfway done before the end of the year, Misamis Oriental Gov. Oscar S. Moreno told local media here.
The governor said the airport’s access road would be completed this June.
He earlier vowed test flights using the new Northern Mindanao airport would be made before the end of President Gloria M. Arroyo’s term on June 30 next year.
Della P. Capicenio, manager of the Laguindingan Airport Project Development project, said the project is about a third finished. She said the Laguindingan airport would be completed in January 2012.
Mr. Moreno said the relocation site for residents who have been displaced by the project now has 37 duplex-type houses completed out of the planned 109 units. — PLPC
