A HOMEGROWN real estate development company is making its major comeback in Davao City after lying low for several years with a major high-end development project that promises to change the lifestyle of Davao.

On Saturday, Kisan Lu Lands Development Inc. (KLLDI) unveiled its latest venture, the multi-million Amiya Resort Residences, which will rise on the company property in Puan, Davao City.

Kristine Lu, daughter of the late Kisan Lu, said they will be investing at least P500 million for the development of their 24-hectare property.

"It is the first high-end development of Kisan Lu (Lands)," Lu said. "This is something really high end, complete with all the amenities. Amiya Residences promises an ‘authentic resort living,’ inspired by the best resorts in Thailand and Bali.”

One of the main amenities of the high end-residential community is a 1,500-square-meter salt-chlorinated infinity pool, touted to be the largest in the city.

"It's salt chlorinated, making it suitable for asthma and allergy sufferers and doesn't irritate the eyes and skin and is less harsh on the hair. It is also the biggest Infinity Pool in the whole of Mindanao," Lu said.

The Amiya clubhouse will also be the first to offer casitas for overnight guests of their residents. Other amenities include covered courts for basketball and badminton, tennis courts, game room for billiards, darts, and table tennis.

A lagoon with boating and fishing facilities, a pitching and putting area, and a children's playground, will also complement the resort like feel of the community.

"It’s actually more than a residence, it’s a resort," Lu said.

To complete its resort feel and to improve the wellness of its residents, Amiya will also house a spa, fitness gym, jogging track, meditation garden, pocket gardens, linear parks, and water features all throughout the property.

"Of the 24 hectares, 45 percent will be allocated for open spaces, including roads," Lu added.

Prior to their new housing development, Lu said they have already constructed an estimated 10,000 low cost houses throughout the city, one of the legacies of her late father.

With Amiya Residences, Lu said this will be the comeback of Davao City's premier real estate developer in a new light.
