Megaworld Corp. will start the turnover of residential units in July in the five-hectare Lucky Chinatown development in Binondo, Manila.
The two-tower residential project will have a total of 650 units, the first tower of which is eyed for turnover this July. The 30-floor Tower A will have 150 units of three- and four-bedroom units and is already 95 percent sold.
Tower B, a 32-floor structure offering 500 units of studio and two-bedroom units, is eyed for turnover by November. Tower B is already 95 percent sold.
The two-tower residential complex is complemented by a three-floor bazaar mall which can house 358 bargain shops.
Megaworld is expected to open by the end of the year the mall component of the development which will offer 26,033.75 sq.m. of leaseable space net.
The five-level mall will "reinvent" the shopping and leisure experience in the area, Megaworld said.
The mall is expected to have a supermarket as an anchor.
Complementing the mall will be a 2,122.68 sq.m. street-concept "Chinatown walk", which aims to revive the Chinatown experience with restaurants, delicatessens, furniture and jewelry shops, herbal Chinese medicine outlets, cafes and tea salons.
