THE residential arm of the SM Group was cited anew as the largest residential developer in Metro Manila in terms of number of units sold and value of sales in the first half of the year.
In a disclosure to the Philippine Stock Exchange, SM Development Corp. said that it has emerged as the top real estate firm from among 90 other developers competing in Metro Manila.
According to property research specialist Colliers International Philippines, SMDC has topped the list in the last two years.
With a market share of 22 percent, SMDC sold 4,117 residential units worth P9 billion during the six-month period.
Condominium sales may reach 11,000 to 12,000 units in 2011, exceeding the over 10,000 units sold last year, driven by the brisk take-up of developments launched in the previous years.
