MANILA, Philippines - Aspiring home
owners looking for housing options in suburban Laguna can now look into a new
option as property developer SOC Land bares its newest residential development,
Althea Residences.
Situated in Biñan, Laguna, Althea
Residences will feature modern homes with a tranquil vibe strategically spread
out in 4.3 hectares of land. Home owners can choose from three housing
options—Aurea for two-storey single-detached homes, Ayanna for single-attached
homes and Aralia for bungalow homes.
According to Filemon Yee Jr., vice president for sales and marketing of SOC Land, Althea
Residences was carefully planned to ensure low density. “We understand that for
home owners, especially those with children, ample space to move around is an
essential factor in selecting a home,” he said. “It’s something that we offer
an abundance of in Althea because we value that kind of luxury.”
All Althea residents will have access
to amenities including a basketball and badminton court, swimming pools for
kids and adults, club house, children’s playground, and parks and jogging
paths. A 24/7-manned guardhouse will be stationed in the main entrance, and the
entire property is surrounded by a perimeter fence. Althea Residences will also
have allotted commercial spaces to provide residents with easy and exclusive
access to commercial establishments.
The fully developed residential
community will be powered by the country’s largest utility, Meralco, and has
been specifically elevated by 1.5 meter from surrounding communities to help
prevent flooding during rainy season. Residents can also access a planting
strip, and will be provided 24-hour potable water supply from Laguna Water.
“Housing continues to be a basic need
in the Philippines, and we are happy to help fill a growing demand for
affordable, quality and family-friendly homes,” Yee, Jr. said. “Laguna is a
bustling community suitable for families—whether starter or established—and
retired professionals who seek respite from crowded Manila and yet want to enjoy
modern comforts and convenience.”
Althea Residences is easily accessible
via South Luzon Expressway, using Greenfield Parkway and San Pablo Street. It
is located near well-known schools in Laguna including Brent International
School Manila, University of Perpetual Help, La Consolacion College, and St.
Michael’s College of Laguna, as well as near hospitals like Biñan Doctors
Hospital and New Sinai MDI Hospital.
Other establishments within the
proximity are Puregold Biñan, SM City Sta. Rosa, Biñan City Hall, Biñan Police
Station, Blessed Sacrament Parish, and Sto. Niño Chapel.
Althea Residences is part of SOC
Land’s growing portfolio. SOC Land is the property arm of holding company South
China Resources which has stakes in oil and gas exploration, real estate, steel
fabrication, banking and telecommunication. It is the same developer behind
Anuva—a multi-building development located along the Sucat Interchange. SOC
Land is affiliated with Puyat Steel Corp., International Pipe Industries Corp.,
and Puyat Flooring Products, makers of the industry-leading APO brand of
construction materials.
