Robinsons Land Corp. (RLC) is redeveloping Robinsons Metro East in Pasig City, giving it a fresher look and making it a more convenient and relaxing place for shoppers after nearly a decade of successful operation.
Robinsons Malls general manager Arlene Magtibay said this is very timely as Robinson’s Metro East keeps abreast of the burgeoning residential communities sprouting in the area.
“We want to maintain Robinsons Metro East’s status as the preferred shopping destination for the entire family in eastern Metro Manila,” she said.
The redevelopment will introduce new foreign and local brands, conveniently zoned to enable shoppers to easily locate their favorite shops.
Thus far, the mall has introduced three new zones: My Domain for technology buffs, the Food Loft for those looking for food on the go and for bringing into the nearby cinemas, and Body Senses which specializes in hair and skin care for those who want to relax and pamper themselves.
As part of the redevelopment program, Robinsons Metro East Movieworld’s eight cinemas have also been renovated, with one cinema fitted out with the latest 3D projectors to give shoppers a more exciting viewing experience.
The mall’s interiors will also soon sport a more sleek and elegant look while the mall’s exteriors will have a more streamlined building facade and enhanced landscaping. For added customer convenience, the mall offers free Wi-fi in designated areas. Recently, the mall made available an NBI Clearance Center which allows customers to obtain their NBI clearance within the comforts of the mall.
Magtibay said the redevelopment will be completed by December — in time for the holidays. She added that the ongoing redevelopment will not affect operations as the mall and most of its shops will continue to be open throughout the renovation period. Danessa O. Rivera
