Multi-billionaire American magnate and
TV show “The Apprentice” host and producer Donald Trump will visit Manila today
to lead the groundbreaking ceremony for the Trump Tower Manila, also set for
today.
Trump will be joined by his son Eric
in launching their new investment in the Philippines, the Trump Tower Manila, a
$150-million residential tower developed by Century Properties Group, Inc. It
will be located at Century City, Makati with the brand name and mark under
license from the New York-based firm.
The formal opening of the Trump Tower
Manila showroom at the Pacific Star Building, Makati will also be held today.
Century Properties will also hold an
invitational cocktail event with Trump Tower Manila investors for the benefit
of Operation Smile Philippines (OSP).
“Each Trump unit that is sold during
the event will automatically donate P50,000 to OSP, which holds medical
missions for children with cleft lip and cleft palate deformities. Both Mr.
Donald Trump Jr. and Mr. Robbie Antonio are passionate supporters and are
members of the board of Operation Smile International and Philippines,
respectively,” Century properties said in a statement. Antonio is Century
Properties managing director.
Trump also hosts the famous American
reality TV show, “The Apprentice,” which is billed as the “Ultimate Job
Interview.” In the TV show, 16 to 18 people compete for a $250,000 starting
contract to running one of Trump’s companies.
