Robinsons Land Corp. (RLC) is set to
continue its plan of mall expansions in the north of Metro Manila as it plans
to build a mall in Malolos, Bulacan.
Robinsons Place Malolos will be its
33rd mall and the second in the province of Bulacan.
The mall will be built on a
2.6-hectare lot located along MacArthur Highway where there are business
centers, hospitals, churches, residential developments, government offices and
schools.
RLC now has six malls in Northern
Luzon. According to RLC general manager for Commercial Centers Division Arlene
Magtibay, these are Robinsons Starmills Pampanga, Robinsons Place Angeles,
Robinsons Luisita, Robinsons Pulilan, Robinsons Cabanatuan, and Robinsons Place
Calasiao.
The planned mall will be a four-story
development with a multi-level parking area with the commercial area to have a
gross leasable space of 44,562 square meters and parking area amounting to
22,776 square meters or 535 slots.
Robinsons Place Malolos will have
close to 200 tenants with Robinsons Supermarket, Robinsons Department Store,
Handyman, Robinsons Appliance Center and Robinsons Movieworld as anchor
tenants. Robinsons Movieworld will operate four cinemas in the Malolos mall
with each theater having a capacity of 276 for a total of 1,104 seats.

The company said the City of Malolos,
aside from being the site of the country’s first constitutional convention that
gave birth to the first Philippine Republic, is rapidly becoming industrialized
due to its proximity to Metro Manila.
“Many corporations have put up
production facilities as well as commercial outlets in key places in the city.
Many banks have also opened branches in the city and Malolos now serves as the
Banking Capital of Bulacan,” the company said.
