MANILA,
Philippines - BCI Asia will name the Philippines’ 10 most active architecture
firms and property developers that will be receiving the BCI Asia Top 10 Awards
at the annual BCI Asia Awards ceremony which will be held at the New World
Makati Hotel on May 21.
The
portfolios of these elite architecture firms contain $1.7 billion worth of
properties scheduled to start construction in the Philippines this year while
the portfolios of these top developers contain $1.6 billion.
The BCI Asia
Top 10 Awards for 2013 in the architecture category will be presented to Aidea
Philippines Inc., Asya Design Partner, CAsas+Architects, Edward Co Tan +
Architects (ECTA), Jonathan O. Gan & Associates, Jose Siao Ling &
Associates, Palafox Associates, Pimentel Rodriguez Simbulan & Partners, R.
Villarosa Architects and W.V. Coscolluela & Associates.
BCI Asia Top
10 Awards will also be awarding Arthaland Corp., Ayala Land Inc., Century
Properties Group Inc., DMCI Project Developers Inc., Filinvest Land Inc.,
Megaworld Corp., Robinsons Land Corp., Rockwell Land Corp., SM Development
Corp. and Vista Residences Inc. in the developers’ category.
The BCI Asia
Top 10 Awards highlight the industry key players and move the spotlight onto
the national leading developers and architectural firms. The awards are
bestowed to firms that will shape the built environment of tomorrow, enabling
the market to better understand the important roles these firms play and their
impact, both socially and on the environment.
From 2013,
BCI Asia has decided to expand and reposition the meaning of the Top 10 Awards
to focus on sustainability. The winners of 2013 are identified as the firms
with the greatest aggregate value of projects under construction during the
last full calendar year by the extent of their sustainability and green
building ratings. Since its inception in 2005, the Top 10 Awards is among the
most coveted awards for the Asian building and design industry.

BCI Asia Top 10 Awards is presented by Bestank, Boysen, Carrier and Kohler.
Now into its
9th year, the BCI Asia Awards is a regional event attended by senior
representatives of the building and property development industries to honor
the best in building and architecture in Hong Kong SAR, Indonesia, Malaysia,
the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.
Further to
the BCI Asia Top 10 Awards, the FuturArc Prize (International Green Design
competition) and FuturArc Green Leadership Award (International Award for Green
Built Projects) will also be announced and bestowed at the ceremonies.
