Developer turns over new condo units

AFTER over a year of waiting, owners of the first building of Ecoland 4000 Residences have received their units Friday.

Engineer Leonora Gutierrez, area manager for Mindanao of DMC Urban Property Developers Incorporated, said history was made Friday. "The first condominium in Davao City is finally here," she said.

Apart from delivering to the homeowners their new condominium units, Gutierrez said it was also a time for celebration as DMC Urban Property Developers Inc. was able to prove all its critics wrong.

"When we first started last year, everyone was telling us that the Davao market was not yet prepared for condominium living, but we sold out all our units," Gutierrez said.

Even with prices that started off at P1.8 million in 2007, units were still sold out as of February 2008 when units were already selling at a price of almost P2.3 million.

"We are already working on the finishing touches for the second building, and soon we will turn it over to its homeowners," Gutierrez said.

DMC Urban Property Developers Inc. also launched its new development, the Magallanes Residences, which will feature three 7-story buildings along the Magallanes area. (CPM)
