NEW SENIOR
officials have been appointed for Clark Development Corp. after the exit of its
former chairman, who was also president and chief executive officer, for a post
at the Department of Transportation and Communication, a statement from the
company Web site said on Friday.
Eliseo B.
Santiago and Arthur P. Tugade were appointed as top officials of the firm in
its Dec. 18 board of directors meeting.
Mr. Santiago,
a former executive at Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corp., will be replacing
Eduardo S. L. Oban, Jr. as chairman, president and CEO.
He will be
overseeing the foreign retail operations of the state-run firm.
Mr. Oban, a
former Armed Forces chief of staff, has been appointed undersecretary for
operations at the Transportation department.
The firm’s
new president and chief executive is Mr. Tugade who previously served as an
executive and founder of Perry’s Holding Corp. and Perry Group of Companies.
Other
officials appointed during the meeting include director Cresencio P. Aquino,
managing partner of the CP Aquino and Partners Law Office. -- ENJD
