THE BOARD of
Sta. Lucia Land, Inc. has approved property purchases in Luzon and the Visayas
and a number of corporate moves, the company said in a disclosure yesterday.
At a special
meeting last Wednesday at Sta. Lucia Mall in Cainta, Rizal, the board
authorized the company’s purchase of a 1,230-square-meter lot in Quezon City; a
7,895-square-meter lot in Lipa City, Batangas; and a 61,486-square-meter lot in
Mexico, Pampanga, the disclosure read.
The board
also gave the company authority to enter into joint-venture agreements for the
expansion of its existing 29,950-square-meter lot in San Mateo, Rizal;
72,767-square-meter lot in Urdaneta City, Pangasinan; and 8,906-square-meter
lot in Angono, Rizal. It also approved the acquisition of the interest held by
the firm’s parent, Sta. Lucia Realty & Development, Inc., in a
43,384-square-meter lot in Arevalo, Iloilo City.
Sta. Lucia
Land also further consolidated its home construction and marketing operations
after its board approved the incorporation of two new subsidiaries -- one to
build houses in a subdivision it had developed with Sta. Lucia Realty and
another unit to handle marketing.
Sta. Lucia
Land, incorporated in 1996, has a 10,000-hectare, 200-project portfolio that
consists of various horizontal and vertical developments nationwide and one
shopping mall, with ongoing projects in Rizal, Cebu, and Davao.
