Ayala Land
Inc. (ALI) received the Platinum Award in the Asset Magazine’s 2012 Corporate
Awards representing the real estate sector.
The award
provides a rigorous benchmarking service for the region’s listed companies
using several criteria to assess the companies’ overall performance and
sustainable growth practices.
The criteria
include the quality of financial performance, management, corporate governance,
social responsibility, environmental responsibility and investor relations.
The poll
conducted by The Asset, one of Asia’s highly regarded multi-media publishing
and research outfits, again gave Ayala Land the Platinum Award for All-Round
Excellence in Financial Performance, Management, Corporate Governance, Social
Responsibility, Environmental Responsibility and Investor Relations — the same
award the company garnered since 2009.
“We are very
much honored to be receiving this award for the fourth consecutive year. We are
very grateful for being recognized for our efforts and the results we show,
year in and year out. This will definitely encourage the organization to
continue to strive for excellence in every aspect of corporate performance to
achieve long-term sustainable growth,” said ALI chief finance officer Jaime
Ysmael.
Ayala Land
was among eight platinum excellence awardees from across Asia last year and one
of two from the Philippines.
