SISON, Pangasinan — Congressman Mark O. Cojuangco (5th district, Pangasinan) announced that his priority projects include the construction of farm-to-market roads, and irrigation and drainage systems.
"These are the infrastructure facilities that my constituents badly need," he said.
Cojuangco said that the construction of a drainage system in Urdaneta City near the city’s public market has been completed.
This will help ease floods during the rainy season in the area and vicinity, he said.
The congressman said that the installation of huge culverts is effective because with it, the clearing and declogging activities can be easily done.
"Ang maglilinis sa nasabing culvert ay madali sapagkat makakapasok ang mga workers dahil lagpas-tao ang taas ng nasabing mga concrete culverts na inilagay dito," he saidd.
Cojuangco said that the drainage system project in Urdaneta was implemented by the 3rd Engineering District Office of the DPWH headed by Engineer Leopoldo F. Mendoza.
Engineer Eugenio Flores of the 3rd Engineering District Office was the project engineer.
Flores said that phase I and phase II of the work had been completed.
