More than 12,000 affordable house and lot units will be available at the 6th National Housing Fair to be held on September 30 to October 2, 2011 at the Mega Trade Hall 1 of SM Megamall in Mandaluyong City.
The housing units are from the acquired assets inventory participating key shelter agencies and government financial institutions.
Vice President Jejomar C. Binay, who is also the chairman of the Housing and Urban Development Coordinating Council, invited the public to avail themselves of affordable housing units.
“Housing Fair 2011 aims to enable the Filipino public, particularly government and private employees, as well as families of OFWs, to lead better lives by acquiring their own housing units at affordable prices,” Binay said.
Binay added that this event, through the theme “Gaganda ang Buhay sa Sariling Bahay,” puts emphasis on housing ventures being eco-friendly and conscious of the environmental issues the world currently faces.
“Sa Housing Fair 2011, magkakaroon na kayo ng sarili ninyong mga bahay, madadagdagan pa ang ating kaalaman para mapangalagaan ang kalikasan,” he said.
The terms and conditions (interest rate, loan amount, repayment period, discounts, down payment) of the baratilyo sale will depend on the agency where the buyers will purchase their housing units.
The Housing Fair is a joint project of HUDCC, its member Key Shelter Agencies (KSAs) and Government Financial Institutions (GFIs), namely the Pag-IBIG Fund, SSS, GSIS, Home Guaranty Corporation (HGC), Housing and Land Use Regulatory Board (HLURB), National Home Mortgage Finance Corporation (NHMFC), National Housing Authority (NHA), Social Housing Finance Corporation (SHFC), and Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP).
