El Nido Resorts has made it to the list of the top 25 leisure hotels and resorts in Asia in the recently concluded Best in Travel Poll 2011. The poll was conducted by Smart Travel Asia which is an online travel magazine read by over one million frequent travellers from all over the world.
The annual Best in Travel Poll is now on its 7th run and has enabled readers to vote for their favorite travel brands and destinations based on their actual travel experience, recommendations from friends, and their perception of the brand based on media exposure.
El Nido’s Lagen and Miniloc Island Resorts were ranked number 10 and number 16, respectively, in the Top 25 Leisure Hotels and Resorts category.
“These ratings are a reflection of what we whole-heartedly do at El Nido towards satisfying our customers. We are proud of our resorts and are always looking for ways to improve our products and services. This has certainly given El Nido its ‘wow’ factor,” said Laurent Lamasuta, president of Ten Knots Development Corp.
Ten Knots Development Corp., which owns and manages El Nido Resorts, is part of the Ayala Land group of companies.
There were 11 categories in this year’s Best Travel Poll. Apart from the Top 25 Leisure Hotels and Resorts category, there were also listings of Asia’s Top 25 Airports, Top 25 Airlines, and Top 25 Business Hotels, among others.
This year, the travel poll was conducted over a period of three months, from May to July 2011. Sixty percent of the voters were based in Asia and on the average took 15 air trips over the past 12 months.
Meanwhile, Apulit Island Resort, also in Palawan has gained top ranking on a very popular travel review website and has likewise gathered excellent reviews.
