ENCHANTED Kingdom, a theme park operating in Laguna province, may put up a hotel near its Balibago, Sta. Rosa facility to accommodate tourists planning to stay longer in the amusement place.

“Usually, it needs four to six hours stay to enjoy the different rides in Enchanted Kingdom. But those people planning to stay longer would need a lodging facility. So we are now contemplating of putting up a hotel for those who plan to stay longer in EK,” Mario Mamon, chairman and president, told a press briefing in Pasig City Monday.

Mamon also said he is confident of hitting the 10- to 15-percent growth in visitor arrivals this year after signing a partnership agreement with SM Tickets that will handle the selling of tickets to Enchanted Kingdom visitors.

“We always look for ways on how to reach more people [in most convenient ways],” Mamon said.

“This partnership would be very advantageous for us [and our patrons] because not like before when people buy their EK tickets in our gates [in Sta. Rosa, Laguna] or in our Makati office, they can purchase now at SM Cinema ticket booths and SM Supermalls,” Mamon said. He said the partnership covered an initial one-year period and was renewable. “This is an initial foray of Enchanted Kingdom to that system and enhancement could be done to better that system,” Mamon said.

“What a better way to tie up with the leading operator of cinemas in the country. We look forward to this partnership and we expect to go beyond that [partnership],” he said. “With this tie-up, we can expand the relations of the two groups.”
