MANILA, Philippines - Two firms have
submitted bids to develop the driving range lot and Nichols property in Pasay
City, the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) said.
In a text message, Nena Radoc, BCDA
vice president and chief finance officer said two proponents submitted bids to
develop the 5,005 square meter (sqm) driving range lot as well as the 5,389 sqm
Nichols Loop at last week’s bidding.
“We had a successful bidding...in
which two proponents participated,” she said.
She said one was declared ineligible
however, as it failed to comply with the requirements.
The other proponent, she said
submitted a bid higher than the floor price of P89.59 million for the two
properties.
Radoc declined to identify the two
bidders.
“We cannot yet reveal the identity of
the bidder as we will have to conduct post qualification verification first,”
she said.
She said the BCDA hopes to complete
the verification of the proposal after four weeks.
The driving range lot and Nichols
property have been set for institutional use.
Last week’s bidding was the second
undertaken by the BCDA to find a firm to develop the two assets.
In August, the BCDA conducted an
auction for the two properties but the bidding failed as only one firm
submitted a proposal.
Earlier, the BCDA awarded the
development of the Eastgate parking facility and Sampaguita East Ramp lot in
Taguig City to businessman Simon Paz.
The 3,099 sqm Eastgate parking
facility has been designated for institutional use, while the 1,224 sqm
Sampaguita East Ramp lot is suitable for residential, commercial and
institutional use.
