Ortigas and Co. has renewed its
partnership with Unimart and is set to build a new Unimart store that will rise
at Capitol Commons, a 10,000-square meter mixed-use development in Pasig City.
“We are happy that our partnership
with Unimart has grown stronger through time. The brands Unimart and Greenhills
Shopping Center have grown hand-in-hand for more than four decades now, and we
are more than pleased that it will also be the same for our new development,
Capitol Commons. We at Ortigas and Co. greatly value our partnership with
Unimart,” said Rowell Recinto, president and chief executive officer of Ortigas
& Co.
In a statement, Ortigas and Co. said
that it will make Unimart the anchor of Capitol Commons and the new store will
soon occupy a 10,000-square meter lot at the corner of Shaw Boulevard and
Meralco Avenue.
Capitol Commons is a 10-hectare master
planned mixed-use development of Ortigas and Co. located at the former Rizal
Provincial Capitol in Pasig City, which will be the premiere live-work-play
district of Ortigas Center.
Rising at the site will be Estancia,
Capitol Commons’ retail component that will house the finest international
fashion brands and destination retailers, complemented by a selection of
delectable dining choices.
Also, coming up is The Royalton, which
will be the first residential tower in the development, offering a cosmopolitan
with its premiere living spaces.
Capitol Commons has a gross floor area
of more than 35,000 square meters for retail space, over 214,000 square meters
for office spaces, over 280,000 square meters for residential units, and a full
range of amenities such as a hotel, conference facilities and restaurants.
“Poised to become the premier anchor
of Ortigas Center, Capitol Commons is truly a development to watch out for,”
the company said in a statement.
